Who we are
Group Exemption Desk is a service of 1414618 B.C. Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. You can reach us at hello@groupexemptiondesk.com.
What we hold
Only what you choose to email us, and public records about your organization:
- Your name, role, email address and anything else in your message or signature.
- Your organization's name, EIN and group exemption number, and any records you send us, such as chapter lists, group letters, past SGRI filings and supervision records.
- Public information about your organization and its chapters from the IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File and other IRS public files, which we use to prepare your readiness sheet.
- If we first wrote to you, the business email address we used and the public web page where your organization published it, with the date we found it.
This site has no forms, no cookies, no scripts and no analytics. Its fonts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact anyone else to show it. Our web host may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Why we hold it
- To answer your questions and send your free readiness sheet.
- To quote, prepare and deliver the work you ask for, including review by the licensed reviewer who checks your package.
- To invoice and keep the business records the law requires.
- To keep a record of where we found an address and of any request not to hear from us again, so we honor it.
We do not sell what you send us, and we do not share it for anyone's marketing. We share it only with the people working on your request, including the licensed reviewer, or when the law requires it.
Where it is kept
In our business email and file storage. Those providers may store data in Canada, the United States or other countries.
How long we keep it
- Readiness sheet emails and sheets: up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you become a client.
- Client records and invoices: as long as Canadian tax and business record rules require, generally six years.
- A request not to hear from us again: kept for as long as we write to organizations, so we never write to you again.
- Anything you ask us to delete, sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reply "stop" to any email from us and you won't hear from us again. Email hello@groupexemptiondesk.com and we will reply in writing.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
